Lego Creations

Many thanks to Nan who sent me this website many moons ago when Aiden first started to become interested in Legos.  http://www.legobuildtogether.com

Aiden seemed to need a break from all the various Lego kits that he received for his birthday and for Christmas, so we busted out the iPad and worked on some alternative builds.  The first was the vampire pictured below.  We apparently have a shortage of black Lego bricks, but I kind of like Aiden's more colorful rendition.  

Pancake Apprentice

Looks like Daddy's training Aiden to take over pancake duty on Sunday mornings.  :-)

Sledding Playdate

Our friends have the perfect spot for little kids to sled right in the middle of the cul-de-sac on their street ("The Bowl").  Today we headed over for some sledding fun!

My Valentines

After lunch, I put together a quick (and I mean quick -- they raced through it) scavenger hunt.  At the end was the kids' final Valentines Day gift.  Next time I do this, I need to plan ahead and make about 30 clues (vs. 6) so it keeps them busy for a longer period of time!!  ;-)

King (and Queen) of the Mountain

Apparently we should have stayed up at Sugarloaf another day and taken advantage of the perfect skiing weather on Sunday.  Preschool was cancelled today (thanks to a 2-hour weather delay in the public schools), but at least that gave us a chance to play in the new heaping piles of snow.  Daddy's snowblower can't make snowbanks this size!

This one isn't a "snowbank".  This is just the 2 feet of snow on our porch!  My little snow-eater was in heaven.

What we missed…..

While we were away, we got hit with the biggest snowfall of the winter.  Approximately 2 feet!  We (smartly) found someone to snowplow the driveway for us just before we hit the road to Maine.  Whew!

Snowy Day

Was a little too blustery (in addition to heavy snow fall) to hit the slopes again today.  But the kids had a blast playing in the fluffy white stuff later on in the day.

Ski Weekend!

Headed up to the condo at Sugarloaf with some friends (and Grammy & Grampy) for the weekend.  

At long last, Bree got her turn at ski school.  She went out last year, too, but only with me.  She's officially a "big kid" now.  :-)

Adam & Aiden head inside for lunch break and some play time.  The big boys did a full day of ski school, despite the snow and frigid temperatures.

 Happy to be chillin' in the lodge after a cold, exhausting morning of skiing.  

So proud of my little guy!  Now to motivate and keep him going on some of the local slopes for the remainder of the winter….

Picture Perfect Smiles

Bree was practicing her smile for picture day, with a little help from her big brother.  Hopefully she smiled this cute for the photographers at school vs. giving them one of her fake, forced smiles!!

Always the Artist

Bree found a place to do art during our neighbors' Superbowl party.  She loves to draw people lately.  Not sure who she drew this time around.  Perhaps one of her "other best friends" that she made that evening, Asha?  :-)
