Easter at Sugarloaf

Amazingly, the Easter Bunny found us at Sugarloaf!  Bree is thrilled with her newest princess doll.

Aiden spies some Easter presents from Grammy & Grampy.

Post breakfast, it's time to hit the slopes!

Zoom!

Hey -- look whose visiting Amos and Blueberry on Easter!

Another picture perfect day!

The condo bunny did not want to go skiing today…..

Quick snack to refuel on the way up the chairlift.

Auntie Renee made some yummy stuffed mushrooms, but Aiden didn't like the sliminess of the mushroom.  The solution -- eat them with no hands!

Snuggling up for a book with Grammy.

Intense focus on the Easter Bunny Lego.

Easter Weekend at The Loaf

This weekend Aiden made tremendous strides skiing.  He took another full day lesson, mastered the chair lift, and had tons of fun zooming around the mountain.  It's a bummer that this is pretty much the end of the season.  Brienne also took another lesson (half-day), but apparently her green skies put her in a sour mood from the get-go.  She wanted pink, of course.  Good thing she's not particular or anything...

Beautiful blue skies.  Spring skiing at it's best!

All smiles on the chairlift.

Post-skiing, it was time to decorate Easter Eggs.

Daddy helped do the honors this year, while I was baking Easter dessert.  Bree, the foodie, was more enthralled with her snack than with the Easter Egg decorating.

Visit with Pepere & Memere

Great Memere & Pepere recently moved to Schooner Estates.  We finally got to visit them in their new home on our way up to Sugarloaf.  Everyone smile!

Easter Festivities with the Preschool Crowd

Today we went to an Easter Egg Hunt and playdate at the home of some preschool friends.  Many classmates from both Bree and Aiden's class joined in the fun!  If you can't locate them in the group picture, it's because my little clowns are in the back with their Easter baskets on top of their heads….Oi.

Olives - Ick!

Tuesday night pizza again!  Bree tried an olive from my salad.  Yuck!  I couldn't' agree with you more, Brienne!  Lol!

Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

One of the neighborhood families was gracious enough to offer up their house for the kids' Easter Egg Hunt.  The recent snow storm and endless cold weather put a kabosh on any outdoor Easter festivities.  Fingers crossed that Easter is in April next year!!

Pizza Night

The kids and I sort of have a new little tradition.  If Daddy's traveling on Tuesday night, we go out for pizza after soccer.  Tonight we tried a place in Acton that I've been wanting to check out for a while.  My foodie liked it.  But then again, she pretty much likes anything.  ;-)

And….School Is Cancelled

Not so much feeling like the first day of spring tomorrow….

Magnet Fun

The princess created some princess scenes.

Aiden insisted that a picture be taken of his aquarium scene, however, he refused to be included in the photo.  Typical.

A Sure Sign of Spring

Bree was talking to a stinkbug in the driveway and encouraging it to go into a house (rock) that she made for it.  It's possible that she's not really my daughter, after all. Bugs - YUCK!!

25% Australian Kangaroos

Aiden invented kangaroo costumes out of some shopping bags that were hanging around the house.  You've got to have a REALLY good imagination to see how they look like kangaroos, though.  :-)

Our Very Own Little Mermaid

Mommy's little cousin, Johanna, had the lead role in her middle school production of The Little Mermaid.  Brienne was so overwhelmed and completely starstruck, that I couldn't even get her to pose for a picture with her favorite princess of all time!  Never mind that she usually adores Johanna....  In any case, the performance was amazing!  Never knew my little cousin could act.  And what a voice on this kiddo!  So proud of you, Johanna!

The kids got to check out the ship up on the stage following the show.  Fun stuff!

How Many More Days 'Tll Spring????

Ugh.  Really??  More snow??   Bree doesn't seem to mind….

Our face-less snowman.  Never quite got around to giving him any facial features.  Oh well.

Still eating.  That's pretty much all she does when we're outside in the snow….  At least she's staying hydrated.

Blue Room

Today I had the pleasure of volunteering in Bree's preschool class.  This child really does LOVE school.  She's so in her element here, which was wonderful to see.

Bree and friends, Natalie and Nate, go for a school bus ride during free-play.

One of the "lessons" today was about exploring which objects float or sink in water. The kids made some adorable sailboats which they got to decorate and float during craft time.

Every other week the kids have a little exercise class called Creative Movement.  It was fun to see what that was all about, since I don't recall this being a part of Aiden's preschool curriculum in the past.

Meanwhile….

Aiden got to enjoy some special time with Daddy, including a treat at Sweet Kiwi.

Happy Birthday, Tessa!

Always the last one at the food table!

The girls had a fantastic time at the dance studio for Tessa's party.  Most of the girls are from Bree's preschool class, and several are also from the same ballet class.

Discovery Museum

We took advantage of the Discovery Museum's "Free Fridays" today (late afternoon / evening only), to scope out the science building.  Aiden had been to the building for the younger kids a couple times in the past, but the science building was definitely more interesting for everyone to explore.

We saw fossils….

Jewels (amethyst)…..

Built marble runs…..

Modeled giant shark teeth….

Attempted mazes in a mirror (VERY hard!)….

Amongst many other fun things!
