We had halfway decent weather today, so decided to jump on the opportunity for some outdoor activity at Great Brook Farm with a Gouldson-Giebelhaus Memorial Day Hike. We concluded our hike with a picnic lunch (under cover, thanks to some unexpected sprinkles), and (of course) ice cream!

Bathing Beauties

The Butterfly Place

This morning we checked out the Butterfly Place for the first time ever. It's practically in our backyard, so it was about time we paid it a visit. It's a small place, but pretty cool (not literally -- it was actually quite warm and humid….poor Nan!!).

Aiden asked to borrow my phone after seeing another young boy taking pictures of the butterflies with his parent's phone. This is not what I expected (times 100+!!) to find on my camera roll, but it was pretty funny!!

We have visitors!!

Nan & Pop arrived from Oregon late Monday evening (technically Tuesday morning) for a 3 week visit. We gave them Tuesday to recover from their long day of traveling, but today took them to Decordova. Aiden didn't have school today, so we were able to take our time and enjoy the nice weather and the sculptures leisurely.
