Legoland Discovery Center

Today the birthday celebration continued with a trip to Somerville to visit the Legoland Discovery Center.

First stop was the control room where the kids "designed" their own lego pieces.

The Lego replicas of Boston (and surrounding areas) were impressive.  Below is Gillett Stadium.

Quincy Market, the State House, The Pru, John Hancock Tower, etc. -- clearly not to scale, but still very cool.

Zakim Bridge and the Boston Garden.

Fenway!  Go Sox!

Soaring on Merlin's Apprentice Ride.

Just doing what he loves most.  Building.

Laval (from Legends of Chima) and Bree.

Can we have Ice Cream now??

Why yes, you can!  We ended the day at JP Licks. Yum!

Adventures in Somerville

Headed off to our lunch date.  Buddy up, and look both ways before you cross the street.

Catch(es) of the Day at Legal Seafood.

7th Birthday - Taekwondo Style

Our little man turned 7 today!  It was only fitting that his party be held at Achieve Taekwondo, given his love for Martial Arts.  As the birthday boy, he got to be an honorary black belt for the day.

The kids had an amazing time playing games, learning some simple moves, and watching the real black belt masters demonstrate their forms.

Another big highlight for Aiden was getting to cut his cake with a real samurai sword.

Aiden and his teachers - Mr. Wadell and Master Parks.

The party continued at home, with Grammy, Auntie Meg, Joe Joe, Liam and Baby Maggie (Grampy and Uncle Barrio arrived after the kiddos were in bed).

Bree was just as excited for Aiden as he was.

Cousins anticipating their first sleepover (or maybe we should have called it -- a "lack of sleep over").  ;-)

A Visitor At the Bus Stop.....

The kids were excited to be dressed in their matching red Robinson t-shirts this morning, so I thought I'd snap a quick picture at the bus stop.  Instead, I ended up with some accidental pictures of our feet and the pavement......  Why you ask?

Well.... a very kind lady driving past the bus stop on the main road slowed down to tell us there was a BEAR headed our way!!  We walked slowly, and sort of calmly (okay - not calmly at all.  We were all pretty much freaking out once we spotted him on the opposite front corner of our lawn from where we were standing....) back to the house.  We proceeded to watch the bear though our back windows make his way across our backyard, and then disappeared through the woods towards our friend's house.  We couldn't get our act together to snap any pictures of our own, but below are a couple taken by various neighbors.  This was by no means a little bear!

I finally got my picture of the kids in their t-shirts -- after school -- but the kids didn't want too spend much time outdoors.  I didn't argue! Aiden's looking over his shoulder, expecting the bear to reappear!
