Cub Scout Overnight

The boys had a cub scout overnight up in Rindge, New Hampshire this weekend.  Despite the mild temperatures this winter, the lake was frozen (enough...) for the planned ice fishing expedition.  Believe it or not, they even caught a few!

Exeter

I've never been to a hotel that had stuffed animals on the bed, but this one did.  "Exeter" the sheep is evidently the hotel mascot.  Aiden & Bree didn't want to say goodbye.

Overnight in Beantown

I had some hotel points that were about to expire if they weren't utilized, so we decided to do a little overnight in Boston with the kiddos.  Only these crazy kids would actually think riding the T is fun and part of the adventure.....

There was a crazy snowstorm outside, but was nice and cozy inside the Science Museum. We spent a couple hours exploring here before venturing to the North End for dinner and trip to Modern Pastry.  

Couldn't quite capture it, but Aiden was actually sweet and snuggly with his little sister at bedtime.  Maybe all the sugar from the late night cupcake affected his brain.  ;-)

Basketball

Aiden's playing his first season of basketball with the Upwards program in Chelmsford, and is loving it so far!  At the beginning of the games, they announce the players as they run out.  Super cute!

Kel's Bells

Next month I'll be running my first ever 10k in honor of my college friend, Kelly, who lost her battle with breast cancer a year and a half ago.  We're running the Disney Princess 10k (Kelly was a avid lover of all things Disney), and here's a sneak peak at part of our costume.

Numbers Kid

New Day.  New Game.  Still getting beat by the 8 year old.

Precious Snow

What a difference a year makes.  We've barely gotten any snow so far this year, so when we do get a small amount here and there, the kids go wild about playing outdoors.  I think this was only our second storm of the season.  Luckily, the kids didn't have school today anyway, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Grampy's Prodigy

It's really embarrassing to get your a$$ kicked by an 8 year old at Monopoly.  Can't wait for the Monopoly showdown at Sugarloaf next month:  Grampy vs. Aiden.  Could get wild and crazy!

Pizza Night!

Daddy is obsessed with homemade pizzas lately, which is fine by us!  The kids love getting to "decorate" their own pizzas.

Pinewood Derby

Aiden's first Cub Scout Pinewood Derby is this weekend.  On the left is Aiden's hammerhead shark car, and on the right is Bree's sparkly pink family car.  So nice that the pack gives siblings an opportunity to participate, too!

Aiden did pretty good in his 3 heats, but unfortunately didn't place overall.  It was still a very fun  and exciting event!

American Girl Expedition

The boys went to see the new Star Wars movie today, so we did a girls afternoon in Natick.  Lunch followed by Bree's first trip to the American Girl store, with neighborhood bestie, Asha.  (Let it also be known that Asha was the one to tell Bree that her knock-off doll from Target was not the real deal.  LOL!!)

First Missing Tooth!!!!!

At long last, Bree has lost her first tooth.  Being one of the youngest in her class, she was among the last to hit this milestone.  She could not possibly be more excited!
