Circus

As a reward for their excellent popcorn sales this year, Aiden's cub scout pack got treated to a day at the circus. It was definitely a fun was to end April vacation week.

Last Night sniff, sniff :-(

Nan & Pop head back to Oregon late tomorrow. Their visit flew by. Nan thought it would be fun to celebrate everyone's birthday on our last night together, so that's what we did. :-)

Purgatory Chasm has been on my "must see" list for some time now, and we finally got there today. It was even cooler than I expected! Some of the terrain was a little challenging, but the kids (and the grandparents) did great!

Today's adventure took us to the Rail Trail (starting point in Groton). The ladies went for the nice walk, while the boys biked.

Walden Pond

On the way back from Lexington, we made a brief stop at Walden Pond. The kids explored a replica of Thoreau's cabin.

Someone left a cool lean-to behind on the trail around the pond.

The British Are Coming!

It's Patriots Day Weekend, and Pop had the fantastic idea of heading to Lexington for one of the reenactments. We made it to Lexington just in the nick of time - we ran from the parking lot to the battle scene.
