First Boy Scout Overnight

Aiden's first Boy Scout overnight (sans parents) was this weekend.  It got off to a VERY cold, soggy start on Friday evening in the pouring rain and 40 degree temps.  Apparently he survived, and enjoyed it enough to want to got on next month's overnight with the troop.

Bilbies

Pop's cousin, Jim, from Australia and his daughter, Lynda recently visited Nan & Pop in Oregon.  With them they brought some lovely chocolate Easter Bilbies for the kids.  Bilbies are a long-earred Australian animal who existence is being threatened by rabbits. (The rabbits are eating the bilbies food supply.)  To raise awareness of the bilbies, a chocolate store where Jim and Lynda live sells Easter Bilbies, instead of Easter Bunnies each year.  Very sweet of them to think of our kids (no pun intended!).  And very sweet of Nan & Pop for shipping some our way.  XO

In all the years we've been coming to Clearwater, we've never taken in a sunset on the beach.  That was on Bree's bucket list for this week, so here we are.

The Sugar Sand Festival has become a must see for us every year.  This year the theme was "Sea The World".

Love that the first exhibit was none other than Australia.  :-)

Momma / Daughter Time

After going to see her friend's dance competition, Bree and I had a lunch at Pho 88 followed by a quick trip to Nan's Park (aka Friendship Park).  Love these rare opportunities for one-on-one time with the kids.

First ice cream of the season!  Today was a half day of school and it was GORGEOUS out.  We weren't the only ones with this idea, apparently.  45 minute wait to get ice cream.....  It was worth it, though.
