Heritage Swim Meet

 Aiden & Cooper were part of the winning medley team.  :-)

This girl took first place today in backstroke, taking off 2.93 seconds from her PR!  

Aiden also would have placed 1st in backstroke, but he was swimming exhibition.

Aiden placed 4th in his IM, dropping 3.12 seconds.  He also dropped 1.84 seconds off his 50 Free. Bree dropped 2.86 seconds off her seed time for her IM, as well.  What an awesome meet for these kiddos today!

Herkimer Camping Trip

Aiden's Scout Troop did a weekend trip to the Herkimer Diamond Mines in New York.  I wasn't psyched about him being so far from home for 2 nights (3 full days) without a parent, but he managed to survive without us.  He was "grubmaster" for his patrol for the weekend, which meant he had to shop for and organize all the meals.

Rockport

We spend a lovely girls afternoon in Rockport today with my Aunt Deb.  

And had lunch a beautiful spot overlooking at the harbor where my cousin, Johanna, was waitressing.

Pool Party

The family of one of Aiden's good buddies invited the entire class to their house for a pool party in the afternoon.  So fun!

Last Day of School

Since I never got my traditional Last Day of School Pictures during the morning debacle, my friend graciously took a few for me upon her arrival at their house after school today.  The girls got to spend a fun afternoon together, celebrating SUMMER!

Farewell to Elementary School

Today was Aiden's last day of Elementary school.  *sniff, sniff*  

Amongst the morning chaos, Aiden managed to miss the bus (his sister got on without me knowing -- that's a whole other story....), so we never got our traditional last day of school picture.

Parents were invited to a lovely 5th Grade Completion Ceremony in the morning, followed by refreshments and mingling with the 5th graders and their families.

Fun at the Lake

"Whale Rock" is covered in way more moss than it was when I was a kid.  We climbed it so often, that the moss never stood a chance!
