So here we are, 55 days after Aiden completed the TP Math Challenge. We are down to the last 1/2 roll in 2 bathrooms, and down to zero in the other two bathrooms. I guess he was more accurate in his projections than I thought! (PS - we do have a new package of TP waiting to be opened, for anyone who is concerned!!)
Instead of having her friends do a drive-by birthday parade at her house, Bree's neighborhood friend, Asha paraded all over town delivering birthday treats (whoopie pies) to her friends. Happy #12 Asha!
We all welled up with tears, when Aiden was gifted this 40 year old Boston Marathon t-shirt from Pop. That's a pretty amazing piece of memorabilia to be handed down from grandfather to grandson. Maybe Aiden will follow in his footsteps someday. 💛
Aiden's Scout Patrol is going on a virtual campout tonight. Now seemed liked a good time to work on one of his advancement requirements (building a fire) that needs to be completed at a campout. We photographed and video recorded the whole process, so that his patrol leader could sign-off.
Helping out a more senior Girl Scout today who is working on her Gold Award. Bree filmed a bunch of small clips today that the young lady will use in her educational video about recycling. Thanks for helping, Bree!
Sadness is masking up to go pick up your personal belongings that your teacher cleared out of your desk and locker, because you won't be returning to your elementary school again..... This is not how we envisioned saying goodbye to Crisafulli. :-(
This is a first. A virtual birthday party! Leave it to Mrs. Sperry to plan a fun celebration, even when the girls couldn't be physically together. They had a Zoom meeting, with a scavenger hunt and online Jeopardy game, followed by a movie night via NetFlix Party. Last weekend, they dropped off goody bags (so they could be quarantined before being opened tonight) with popcorn and candy. So fun!
One of Bree's besties (her very first friend from before preschool!) turned 11 today. We did a drive-by birthday delivery with her present and some muffins from Muffins on Main. Bree is such an affectionate kid with her friends. It breaks my heart that she couldn't give Elizabeth a great big birthday hug.....
Ugh. Frustration today, as we attempted to join a Google Meet to be introduced to the middle school orchestra teacher. We were not successful in joining, and ended up listening into the meeting via a FaceTime call with one of Bree's friends who was able to successfully join. Wasn't perfect, but we did our best.
