New Years Eve

It's a quiet NYE this year, but we're making it a fancy one nonetheless!

Due to rain on Christmas Eve, the neighbors on Green Needles postponed their luminaries until tonight.  It was a beautiful night for a stroll.

Hard to tell from the photo, but one of the residents on this road recently had a bear carved out of a tree stump at the end of their driveway.  I was walking by one afternoon while the artist was hard at work.  He seemed to be carving all (if not most) of it with a chainsaw!  The picture doesn't do it justice.  It's really cool.

Hat in a hat.

We've never been more ready to ring in a NEW YEAR!  Good riddance to 2020.  May this year be filled with good health, happiness and lots of smiles and hugs.

Thumbs Up on Chocolate Lava Cake

Pretty awesome stocking stuffer!  Thanks Grammy & Grampy!

Tree Hunt

We're a little late to the game, but various organizations around town decorated trees at East Boston Camps.  We took a hike there this afternoon and found a bunch of them.

Merry COVID Christmas

It's a quiet Christmas this year.  We'll only be seeing family via Zoom and FaceTime on the computer.  But we are grateful that everyone is healthy and safe.  That's what matters the most.  We sure do miss everyone, though.  😢

Kitty's first Christmas.

Nan and Pop hit the nail on the head with these sweatshirts!

Christmas snuggles.

Holy excitement!  Auntie Deb got Bree some Harry Potter movies.  She's still obsessed....

Mmmmmm!! German pancake for breakfast.  :-)

Too much eggnog.

Zooming with our Maine family.

Bree and Joe Joe spent a bunch of time this afternoon doing art via FaceTime.  So awesome!

Christmas Eve

Got our Christmas Eve hike in just before sunset (and the rain) today.  Just a quick one at The Stone Arch Bridge Trail, as we still had lots of cooking to do for our feast.

The best gift of the year!

A delightful dinner by chef Sean.

The kids were thrilled with their books from the Giebelhaus Gang!

And fun stocking treats that Grammy and Grampy sent from Maine.🎄

Sledding at Bumble Bee Park

A little more fresh snow this afternoon led to sledding with some neighborhood friends at Bumble Bee Park in Littleton.  :-)

Groton Winter Tree Stroll

Explored Bates Conservation Land in Groton today, which is part of the 2020 Winter Tree Stroll.  Hope we can check out some of the other tree decorated trails in Groton before the Christmas season has come and gone.  It was so pretty!

Nashoba Valley Ski Day With Friends

Taking advantage of Thursday's fresh snowfall to go skiing / snowboarding with the Sperry kids.  This was the first time dropping the kids off without an adult accompanying them on the slopes.  I could get used to this!

Keeping Traditions Alive

Santa brought me a gingerbread house cookie cutter set last year.  I was very excited to give this new pattern a try.

Pretty cute!  I still need to perfect "gluing" of the walls and roof. It gets better each year, yet still looks a little sloppy to my perfectionist eye.

Thank you to Mother Nature for this unseasonable warm December day that allowed us to keep our neighborhood gingerbread decorating party alive (socially distanced, of course), despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

"No, Mom, I'm not eating the icing that has raw egg whites."  Liar.

If you forget to bring your gingerbread home, the Cookie Monster might help you out.
