Black Belt Testing

Unlike our old Taekwondo school that did the entire Black Belt testing in one day, World Class breaks the intensive training up into multiple sessions.  Tonight was part 2 for Aiden.

Our annual High Tea excursion took us to Heath's Tea Room in Rockport this year. It was lovely!

First Track Meet

Today was the first track meet for both kids.  (Bree?  Running?!?!  I know, right!)  The season this year will be limited to competition between their middle school and the other middle school in town.  Better than no sports at all, which was the case last year...

 

Mothers' Day - Acton Arboretum

 

Exploring the Acton Arboretum this morning was a lovely way to spend Mother's Day.  We've never been before, but will surely return.  It was beautiful!

Momma and baby turtle were also spending some quality time on Mothers' Day.💕

Overnight Guests!!!!!

We have our first overnight guests since the pandemic began.  Grammy & Grampy are fully vaccinated, and Sean and I are half way vaccinated.  We get our second dose next week.  Nice to start getting back to normal a little bit.

We won't see Grampy for his birthday later this month, so we celebrated a little early tonight.  71 this year!

 

5k for Cancer

Aiden and I ran our first in-person 5k this morning since COVID.  It was the Emerson Hospital Cancer 5k, which technically was virtual this year.  However, my friend Wendy organized a team to run it in her neighborhood.  She lost her dad to cancer last year.💔

Aiden did great, and took 2nd place overall!

COVID Birthdays

This is one way to do a COVID birthday party.  Aiden's buddy (well his mom....) rented out an entire theatre at O'Neil Cinema for the boys to play video games.  Pretty cool!  And a clever way for O'Neil to stay in business, since they cannot be operating anywhere near full capacity during this darn pandemic.
