These Are Better!

I'm sure one or more of these will do for the Christmas Card.

This Will NOT Be Our Christmas Card Photo

After many failed attempts to get a real smile out of Aiden, I gave up.  Good thing, since there's still a plastic sticker with the size stuck to the front of his new shirt!  Doh!

Groton Hike

Stumbled upon this trail, which was amusing as Thanksgiving is coming up this week.  LOL!🦃

How We Watch Swim Meets During a Pandemic

Bree swam in the morning.  Sean drove her, and I watched via Zoom at home.  Then we flip flopped while Aiden swam in the afternoon.  It was much better viewing at home, than it was from my phone in the car.  Hopefully someday we'll get to watch from the bleachers again.  At least they have actual meets this year. 😔

Bronze Award

Bree didn't continue on with Girl Scouts this year, however, we were finally able to gather the girls to officially present them with their Bronze Award that they started working on 2 long years ago.  COVID threw some significant curveballs, but they still managed to wrap up their project in 2020.  Now we are almost at the end of 2021 and the girls are FINALLY being recognized for all of their hard work on their Food Pantry project.  Congrats, girls!

While waiting for the event to kick-off, I caught these two reading a "best friends" book in the lobby.  So cute!  They've been friends since they were about 2.  💕

The girls project involved rehabbing one Food Pantry donation bin, and building 3 new ones that are now situated around town.  In addition, they wrote and produced a short educational video on food insecurity in our community.

State Representative Jim Arciero presented the girls with their certificates, which was a very special honor.

Genesis Battlegreen Run

Aiden and his pals ran a 5k in Lexington today.  Cross Country season may be over, but these guys just keep on a running!

Two Brothers Trail - Littleton

Pretty little hike in nearby Littleton this morning.

Light the Night

Aiden & I participated in Light the Night for our 7th year in order to raise money and awareness for the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society.  We walked with our friend and neighbor who battled Hodgkins Lymphoma several years back, as well as our friends whose young son (and little brother) finished treatment for T-cell Lymphoma last year.  Historically we've done this walk in Nashua, but they combined some of the northeast events this year into one at the Franklin Park Zoo.

We took the boys to dinner at The Shake Shack on the way back home.  They thought that was pretty fantastic.😋

Cross Country Champs Invitational

Biggest meet of the season today!  The boys all did great!

Teen Night

One of the saddest part about COVID is that the kids are missing out on some of the normal things that are traditionally a part of the middle school experience.  Teen Night (AKA, school dances) have pretty much become a thing of the past.  The school isn't hosting them once again this year, but our PTO sponsored at Teen Night at the Roudenbush Community Center, and the event sold out.

Bree went to a friends house so the girls could all get ready together.

Aiden met his buddies there.

They both had the best time hanging with their friends, playing games and dancing, and they CANNOT wait for another event to be planned!
