Waimea Bay

Sean wanted to take us to this beach he once went to as a kid, that had crazy surf.

It was all fun and games until Bree's major smackdown by a HUGE wave.  She's trying to smile, but she got pretty beat up.  (We didn't realize until we got to Australia, that my poor kiddo suffered a mild concussion.  Nothing like giving the healthcare system on the other side of the world a test drive while on vacation....  Happy to report that after several miserable days of headaches and nausea, she is fully recovered. 💙)

 

Ziplining at Keana Farm

I can't believe I agreed to this, but we went ziplining today!  

Holy crap was I scared.  Sooooo afraid of heights....  Definitely trying to put on a brave face in this photo as we were getting ready.

Kailua Beach Park

It took about 5 minutes last night upon arriving in Waikiki Beach to determine that a rental car was going to be essential for the next few days.  Waikiki Beach is INSANE!  Not at all relaxing.  So today we ventured out to explore other parts of the island.

Drew Farm

I've always wanted to attend this spectacular pumpkin walk at Drew Farm, but it generally interferes with trick-or-treat.  This year they hosted the event the evening before, so I was super excited to finally make it there.  The pictures don't do them justice, but the pumpkins were truly amazing!

Bree and her friends from Flowers2Empower volunteered at Carve for Carson today, helping with pumpkin painting and facepainting.  My cute kitty got her own face painted during some downtime.

Bree's class just finished reading the Outsiders.  Extra credit to those who dress up as a "greaser" or a "soc" today.  I think she's pulling off the "soc" look pretty well in Sean's old letter jack.
