Last Regular Season Meet

Excellent meet for Aiden & Bree today.  Their relay teams each took first place, and both kids took 2nd place for the 50 Free.  Bree also placed 4th in her Individual Medley.  They're having a great season!

Nan got to catch up with an old friend, Maura, at the meet.  Maura was here to watch her grandkids swim (and dive), as well.  

Yu-Gi-Oh

Aiden and his buds hosted the 2nd Annual Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament at the pool club today.  The boys appeared to have had a great time!

Pop Sandwich

Pop must have drawn the short straw to end up sandwiched between these two bozos for dinner tonight.  Auntie Doreen and Uncle John were able to join us this evening for dinner.  Little mini-family reunion. :-)

Forge & Vine

We took Nan & Pop out to one of our newest favorite restaurants in the area to celebrate 50 years of wedded bliss.  Happy anniversary, Nan & Pop!  💕

Hard to believe that this sweet, sassy girl turns 10 today!  

Some special visitors arrived late last night (or really very early this morning), just in time for the festivities.  This picture cracks me up.  Apple doesn't fall far from the tree, right??  At least no one's on a device....

Look Whose (Almost) 10!

In lieu of a big party this year, Bree chose to have a couple friends over for dinner out, ice cream sundaes, a movie and a sleepover.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!  Actually, they didn't scream at all.  After the ice cream, we watch the original Annie movie.  They even let me watch it with them.  I forgot how awesome that movie was.  

Sweet girls.  They were a joy to have over.

All Stars -- Take II

Love that the boys fit in Jake's wing span!  LOL!  We're losing our super star swimmer after this summer, as he's aging out.  Hopefully he'll keep coming back to coach.

These two really are the All Stars for WST's 9/10 girls this year.

The kiddos made All Stars again this year!  Yay!  But looks like we'll be coming back tomorrow night, due to impending thunderstorms.

Live for Liv

Aiden & I ran a road race today for a cause that's very near and dear to our hearts.  This event honors the cousin of his two friends (pictured below) who lost her life in an act of domestic violence 9 years ago.

Very proud of this kid.....

.....not only for finishing, but for taking 1st place in his age group!  Wow!  I placed, too.  First time I've ever won a medal for running.  I think I came in 3rd for my age group.  LOL!

Nice job, boys! It's was a steamy one.

Today's Teen & Tween program at the library was Cupcake Wars.  Bree, of course, ate hers before I even got to see it.  Aiden first smashed his cupcake before decorating it.  😐

This morning we ventured out to Skate Beach in Orleans to explore the tide pools.  Really cool place.  Next time to we come, we'll make a better effort to get here earlier before the tide starts rolling in.
