Bear Lake Corridor

So great to be reunited with our West Coast Family!  Today we hiked parts of the Bear Lake Corridor, which is pretty popular and was a bit crowded.

The first stop was Nymph Lake.

The wildfires on the West Coast are creating some haze over the mountains, but the views are still pretty spectacular.

Aiden (and Michael) braved the icy waters in Emerald Lake.  Brrrrrr!!!

On our late afternoon decent, we were treated to an up close and personal visit by a small family of Elk.  These guys are not afraid of tourists AT ALL!  They literally walked right in front of us without a care in the world.  We're told they can be a real nuisance in town, standing in the road and blocking traffic.  LOL!  Beautiful creatures.

Great first day!  Can't wait to see what tomorrow holds.
