8th Grade Class Trip

COVID put a kabosh on the 8th grade class trip to Washington DC for the 3rd year in a row.  But thankfully, they were able to organize a day trip to NYC.  It was a LONG day, but the kids had an absolute blast!

Apple Blossom Parade

Bree not only marched in the Apple Blossom parade today, but she was instrumental in organizing the involvement of the farmhers from Flowers2Empower.  It was a great day for a parade!

Swim Meets Don't Stop for Mother's Day

Nothing says Happy Mother's Day like driving a car full of teenagers to a swim meet!  (Just teasing -- I loved every minute!  And would have loved it more if spectators were allowed....)  Every seat in my car was taken.

Bree swam yesterday, but came with me to drop off the "big kids" and pick up her friend who swam the morning session today.

Both kids had great times this weekend.  Bree had a PR in the 50 free, and also placed 2nd.  She took 3rd in the 50 fly, 6th in the 100 IM and 7th in the 100 free.  Aiden swam his first 500 free on Friday night, and rocked it coming in first place.  He also PR'd in 3 other events over the course of the weekend, placed 1st in two events, 2nd in 3 events, 3rd in one event, and 4th in another.  Nicely done!

Flower2Empower

Today some of the girls are getting the beds ready for planting.  I helped, too.  It was a workout!!

The track team faced off against Stoneybrook this afternoon.  Crazy that some of these kids will be competing together at WA next spring!

 

Mari For School Committee!

Bree and I helped out with some campaign visibility on the the Town common this morning for my friend, Mari, whose running for school committee.  It was a lovely morning to waive at passersby and try to garner some votes for Mari. :-)
