Picnic & Pirate Playground

Today we met the Giebelhaus clan, as well as Kathleen, Oden & Iain at a really cool pirate themed playground in town.

Argh! Walk the plank!

Bree mostly wanted to play under the pirate ship, which was fine by me. Keep that fair skinned child 'o mine out of the hot desert sun! She finally agreed to keep a hat on, but I'm convinced it was only because it was borrowed from Jahla!

Even more exciting than the pirate playground was the super long slide that went all the way down the side of a hill. And even more exciting than sliding down the slide, was sliding down the turf beside the slide. Some bigger kids were sliding down the turf on broken down cereal boxes -- very fast!
