Ahhh....VACATION!! Okay -- so it was a little different from the trip Sean & I took to Grand Cayman last year sans kids, but we still had a great time. Grammy & Grampy bought a condo in Clearwater 3 (?) years ago, and we finally made it down to visit. This was Aiden & Brienne's second time traveling by air, and I'm happy to report they both did great. Brienne was a little more challenging that she was at 8 weeks old when we flew cross country to Oregon for Auntie Kelly's wedding, but all-in-all, they were both good travelers. Helps that it was only a 3 hour journey this time around. We took about a million pictures of the kids. Here's a very small sample of some of our favorites. :-)
Brienne loves "newness". It was hard for her to contain her excitement upon our arrival in Clearwater.
Aiden admired the view.
Angel eyes.
We didn't waste much time getting down to the beach upon our arrival. The vastness of the beach and ocean were a little overwhelming for Aiden. He had fun playing in the sand with Grammy, though.
This was Brienne's first walk on the beach. Boy did that Moby Wrap ever come in handy! I think I used it every day. (Thanks, Kathleen!)
Posing for a picture with Daddy.
I guess this probably wasn't the first sunset that Aiden had seen, but it was the first time he actually sat still and admired a sunset. He asked us why the sun was going into the ocean. Too cute!
Brienne also enjoyed the spectacle before heading off to bed. These little munchkins had a LONG day. They saw the sun RISE in New Hampshire on the drive to the airport, and saw the sun SET on the West Coast of Florida. Yawn!
What a great time you must have had! And I'm so impressed that you can still use the Moby for Bree. That's wonderful!! Easy to pack too!!
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing, Andrea!! And Bree's chubby thighs are NOMMY. Your thighs aren't nearly as delicious looking. ;)
Thanks, Kathleen! We DID have a great time. Can't wait to see you guys in another month!!
