Newberry Caldera

Some breathtaking sights at the Newberry Caldera today!

First stop was a visit to a beautiful waterfall on our way up the mountain.

It was a harrowing ride up to the summit, but the views were nothing short of spectacular!

We were hoping to do some paddle boarding on the lake and enjoy the beach for the afternoon, but it was a little on the chilly side.  Only this crazy kid was willing to strip down to her swim suit in the 60 degree temps.  Brrrrrr!!!

  

The beach was full of obsidian, which the kids collected to take home.
